The 4D Biologix Story
The 4D Biologix portfolio was clinician-developed at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), consistently ranked #1 in orthopedics. Built by surgeons who understand what matters in the OR: consistent handling, predictable performance, and products that stay where you put them.
Today, top programs including Rothman, Thomas Jefferson, and Mount Sinai trust 4D Biologix for their biologics needs. Through Hibbs Health, we bring these same hospital-proven products to institutions nationwide — with a cost structure that makes sense for everyone.
Our Name
Named for the Father of Spinal Fusion
In 1911, Dr. Russell A. Hibbs performed the first spinal fusion at New York Orthopaedic Hospital — a procedure so controversial that the American Orthopedic Association initially denied him membership. Ten years later, after the results spoke for themselves, they reversed course.
Dr. Hibbs went on to perform over 400 spinal operations with outcomes that defined the standard of care for decades. His name lives on through the Scoliosis Research Society's Russell Hibbs Award, the Hibbs Memorial Library at Columbia, and in every spine OR in the country.
We chose the name Hibbs Health because we believe in what he proved: that bold innovation, backed by evidence, earns its place. Our biologics carry that same conviction — clinician-developed, hospital-proven, and built to perform.
